Cheap and Chic: How to Make a Dollar Tree Pumpkin Wreath
Putting together a Dollar Tree Pumpkin wreath is a fun and inexpensive way to dress up your home for the fall.
Today I’m sharing several quick and easy DIY Dollar Tree pumpkin wreath ideas.
I think I’m especially drawn to this particular craft because the result looks quality and expensive. It’s like a Pottery Barn look on a dollar store budget
With just a few cheap supplies you can make a cute and impressive wreath that will have your neighbors asking, “Where did you get that?” So grab your hot glue gun and let’s get started on this fall fun!
Supplies
- Use a Dollar Tree pumpkin wreath form. They can be tough to find as they sell out super fast. They’re more expensive but you can also find them on online
- Glue Gun
- Burlap, ribbons, and other fabric.
- Natural elements like leaves, twigs, pinecones and fake flowers.
- Brightly colored ribbons and fake leaves for a traditional fall wreath.

Your Pumpkin Wreath
- Cover your Dollar Tree pumpkin wreath form with a base layer of burlap or fabric or whatever you choose.
- Add ribbons and natural elements that you’ve used in your other DIY Halloween decor.
- Floral wire to attach your decorations and base.
- Customize it however you like!
I love how this pumpkin wreath form pictured above is decorated with real leaves collected from the yard from The Ponds Farmhouse.
Add-ons and Decorations
- Add a small “happy fall” sign or banner to your wreath. You could also incorporate it with a larger fall sign.
- Fake flowers, berries or other embellishments to add color and interest.

I love what you-tuber Dave’s Wreaths and Things did in the pics above. If you go to the 16.30 mark of his video you can see he crunched up paper bags, hot glued them to the pumpkin wire and then painted them. Cool effect!
Fabric and Texture
- Burlap, lace or other fabrics to add texture.
- Velvet, linen or cotton to make it different.
- A layer of fabric or burlap to your wreath form to make a base for your decorations.

Seasonal and Holiday Wreaths
- Halloween wreath with spider webs, bats and other creepy stuff.
- I love the beads added to the Dollar Tree wire pumpkin pictured above. She cut the spine wires at the top leaving a bit of wire to glue the bead to. She then added morebeads to each spine wire and glued the first bead to the last one on each. You could switch out the top details to go with the season.
- Thanksgiving wreath with fall leaves, acorns and other seasonal things.
- Try different seasonal and holiday themes like transitioning your pumpkin form to a snowman like the one above from Pinterest.
