Classic Shapes with a Twist

Classic sunglass shapes like aviators and wayfarers have timeless appeal and versatility.

In recent trends, these iconic styles have transformed, blending traditional designs with contemporary elements.

Aviators now often boast sleeker frames and tinted lenses in bold colors, adding an edge to their aviator heritage.

Similarly, wayfarers are reinvented with unexpected materials or vibrant patterns, offering a playful twist on the familiar silhouette.

No baby wardrobe is complete without a pair of Babiators

Cool Sunglasses for Babies

As a mom of 4, we’ve been through our fair share of sunglasses.

I understand how important it is to protect my littles’ eyes from the sun’s harsh glare.

Our friends started our favorite child eyewear companies. It’s called Babiators and it’s one of my go-to baby shower gifts when I have a friend who is expecting. I just gave a pair recently.

They came up with the idea when the guys returned from a military deployment overseas. Everyone was staring up at the F-18s flying overhead and my friend asked why none of the nearby kids were wearing sunglasses. The moms explained that they broke too easily or got frequently lost.

So the idea was born to offer customers a free pair if their child breaks them or they get lost. Babiators also made to be especially bendable to curb breakage from little hands.

Cool Sunglasses That Float

Isn’t it the worst when you find the perfect pair of sunglasses, only to see them stolen from your head by the wind or waves and sinking to the bottom of a body of water?

Ugh.

Recently happened to me when we were boating in Jamaica. I had owned the pair less than 24 hours when they flew off of my head and into the cool Jamaican waters. Ya mon.

The shades pictured above I had to include because not only do they float, they’re created by a couple of guys from my home state of South Carolina. They’re also made in the city where we’ve vacationed every year for the last 34 – Charleston- so I have to give them lots of love. Piper and Dunes Palmettos/Rheos.

How to Choose the Right Pair

Face Shape and Sunglasses

  • For round faces, angular frames like square or rectangular shapes can add definition and balance. Conversely, oval faces can benefit from most styles, while heart-shaped faces suit frames that are wider at the top than the bottom.

UV Protection and Lens Types

  • Prioritizing UV protection is crucial to safeguarding your eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays. Look for lenses that offer 100% UV protection, blocking both UVA and UVB rays, to ensure comprehensive eye safety. Consider polarized lenses to reduce glare and improve visibility, especially beneficial for outdoor activities like driving or sports. Brown, pink silver, red functional and fun glasses
