Independence Day Watermelon Cake
I made another watermelon cake for my pastor’s Hawaii 5-0 birthday celebration for his 50th birthday and thought it came out super cute. So I thought I’d try my hand at another watermelon cake for the 4th of July and for this one, I add some extra flare…. with SPARKLERS!! To make my watermelon cake I bought: Cut the watermelon top 1/3 off. Slice off the rinds and make the shape you want. Cut the rinds from the remaining 2/3rds of the melon into 2 more sections (so you have a total of 3 watermelon sections) and slice off the rinds. Slice the pineapple in 1/2-inch sections. Use the star cookie cutter to make pineapple hearts. Add the fruit to the watermelon with toothpicks and decorate how you like. Add the sparklers for some extra wow factor when you present it to friends and family. As you prepare to celebrate Independence Day with friends and family, remember that the right snacks can make all the difference for a memorable experience. Whether you opt for quick and easy bites, healthy options, or creative treats that dazzle, these 4th of July snack ideas will add some flair to your festivities. Let me know if you come across any other ideas I should add. In the meantime, happy snacking! Hi I’m Erica! TV news anchor and mom to 4 littles.
