Ultimate Guide to the Best Bachelorette Party Decorations
Planning the perfect celebration for your favorite gal pal starts with the right bachelorette party decorations.
Whether you want a glamorous feel or a cozy night in watching movies, bachelorette party decorations play a big role in bringing the celebration to life.
I recently celebrated my girlfriend who is getting married in the spring. She’s actually the reason my husband and I met 20 years ago.
We went to the beach for her bachelorette party and I put together the decorations for the party kinda last minute (I do that a lot) but I think they came out cute. In fact, I was painting wine glasses on the airplane on the way to the destination!
From personalized banners to themed table settings, the right touches can make all the difference.
In this post, we’ll share some creative decoration ideas to help you put together a special night with your girlfriends!

Choosing a Party Theme
- I always like to start by asking the bride exactly what she wants. Forget what she should do, what does she want to do? It’s all about her anyway so ask her what she envisions or wants and then go from there. There are lots of great bachelorette party ideas out there, so find the one that fits your girl the best.
- Decide on a theme that fits the bride-to-be’s personality and style, such as a tropical beach party, a country throw-down, or a cozy comfy bash.
- The party’s location will likely dictate the theme. A classy restaurant is going to have a totally different feel compared to a fun backyard picnic.
- For my friend’s recent bachelorette party- she was back and forth between doing it at the beach and Nashville. She ultimately decided the beach (Destin area) was best so that I leaned into the beachy type decorations.
- Think about the bride’s favorite colors or theme and incorporate them into the decorations.
- Make sure the theme is not too overwhelming and allows for flexibility in decorating, so you can easily use it for your next party. I’m all about using thing over and over again.

Bachelorette Party Decorations – Fun Ideas
- Use balloons, banners, tableware, and accessories to create a cohesive look that matches the party theme.
- I found the streamers pictured above at the Dollar Store and it was great because they came in a small package I could easily fit in my carry-on bag.
- Consider using custom straws, to make the party more personalized. I simply cut-out pictures of my friend’s fiance’s face and used a dab or hot glue to get them to stick to our straws. Super affordable.
- Don’t forget to include the bride’s favorite colors or theme in the decorations.

Bachelorette Sash, Tiara or Hat
- Get your girl into character with her own bride-to-be sash or tiara or even veil.
- If the tiara isn’t her speed there are tons of bride headbands out there or super cute hats. My friend found a bridge cowgirl hat that was adorable for her bachelorette party.
- We did a spa day so I got my friend some bride-flip-flops as well.

Custom Decorations and Merchandise
- Shop for custom-designed, accessories – or do what I did and paint your own!
- Amazon has items you can add a name or initials to pretty quickly to make it more personal.
- I found super cheap wine glasses at the thrift shop. I then painted the name of each guest on the glass.
- There are also loads of cute ideas on Etsy.
- I also painted a personalized backdrop. I used some leftover material that I had for when I made my ghost door for Halloween so that cost me nothing! I used the colors and themes from our invitation for the banner.

Tropical Beach Party Decorations
- Put together a summer vibe with tropical decorations, perfect for a beach destination or backyard party.
- Use inflatable palm trees, pineapple balloons, and sipper cups to set the scene.
- Hang fairy lights between trees to add a warm glow. I love fairy lights. So affordable and small and yet they make a big difference.
- Consider whipping up a custom cocktail for the bride-to-be to make the night even more special especially if you’re at home.
- Add tropical-themed decorations, such as floral arrangements and seashells. You could even make a pineapple palm tree like the one I made for my daughter’s Moana themed birthday party. That thing makes a big impact!

Party Essentials and Supplies
Make sure to include balloons, banners, and other decorations that match your feel. If you’re headed to a destination spot, you may want to have small items that make a big impact – like a banner you can fold and balloons and streamers.
Hosting a bachelorette party means having disposable supplies on hand including cups, plates, and napkins. Don’t forget to add a “Bride-to-Be” banner or sign to make the bride feel extra special.

Decorating Tips and Tricks
- Keep it simple and don’t feel like you need to remodel your house.
- Stick with a theme and choose a color or party theme to own it.
- Have fun with the decorations and don’t worry about making mistakes – it’s all about making memories with the besties.
Favors and Gifts for a Memorable Party
- This doesn’t have to be complicated. Like I mentioned, I painted some thrift store wine glasses as part of the favors I gave out.
- One of the party favors I got for our group were just simple candy ring pops. Cute and super cheap
Games and Activities
Left/ Right Game
I love this game and have used it a bunch for baby showers, wedding showers and bachelorette parties. I like it because you can throw it together last minute, and it’s totally personalized to the bride and groom. You just have to write down the bride and groom’s story.
You could tell about how they met, their courtship, their engagement story, whatever you want. Every time you say the word “left” the present gets passed to the person on the left. Every time you say the word “right” the gift gets passed to the person on the right.
For example, “John left Mobile for San Francisco and knew right away he’d made the right choice.” The lady holding the gift at the end of the story gets to open and keep it.
Bachelorette Bingo
Add a twist to your bachelorette party with Bachelorette Bingo! This interactive game features bingo cards with words or phrases related to the bride-to-be, such as “her favorite drink” or “her favorite song.”
The bride-to-be and her friends take turns marking off the words or phrases as they are called out, and the first person to get five in a row wins.
10 Questions Game
I also recently did this one for my friend’s bachelorette party because my niece’s had done it recently and suggested it. You message the groom and ask him to secretly record himself answering 10 questions.
You put his answers on a Canva slideshow (super easy) that you’ll play at the party with the ladies. Before you play his answer, pause the video and make the bride answer the question. Hopefully their answers line up.
Questions include things like, “What did each of you wear on your first date?” and “Who kissed whom first?”
