Breath of innovation – Popular Air Up Water Bottle reviewed
Introduction:
The Air Up Water bottle is skyrocketing in popularity lately so we tried it and want to let you know what we think. Let’s dive into how this hydration system works and what the guy who’s been through dozens of bottles lately, my 11-year-old, really thinks.
I ordered this for my son for his birthday after he’d repeatedly asked for it. This might also make a good Christmas present of Valentines gift for an older kid. His buddy at school has one and gave it the thumbs up. He thought it was more fun than a regular thermos. As a mom, I have to work to get my kids to drink more. I all but put the liquid in their mouth to hydrate them. Often they’ll go hours into the day, and then realize they’ve barely had any liquids at all.
My kids would much prefer juice, Gatorade, or anything with a sweet taste. They love Sprite and Ginger Ale but I rarely allow them to have soda. We’re an active family with numerous sports activities per child so they need to drink plenty to keep their energy up and prevent the dreaded cramps.
How the Air Up Water Bottle works
What sets this bottle apart is its approach to flavoring water without added sugars, sweeteners, or artificial additives. The secret is in the silicone nozzle encircled in an aromatic pod. The pods release scents that cause your brain to perceive different flavors while you sip on plain water. Your sense of smell causes you to “taste” the flavor.
The scented pods
You can choose from a variety of flavored aroma pods, ranging from fruity like watermelon, blueberry, or wild berry, to adventurous flavors such as raspberry-lemon, and orange-vanilla swirl. The pack we ordered came with 3 aroma choices. My son prefers the peach one. It’s annoying when bottles spill but luckily was haven’t experienced Leaks with this one since the lid works well to cover the straw area.
Likes
My son likes that it offers flavor without being overpowering. He says the cap is easy to use and lines up perfectly without effort. He also likes the tilted shape and the little strap to easily carry it. He also appreciates that it holds a lot of water so you don’t have to fill it up that frequently.
Dislikes
He says the bottle can be tricky to fill up. You have to take the cap off and also the rubber seal that holds the straw areas to refill it.;
Also, there are two modes. See the picture. Activated pod and non-activated. When it’s “activated” the flavored air is stronger. When it’s not, the flavor is slightly weaker. He says it’s harder to suck the straw when the pod is activated and makes a sucking sound he doesn’t love.
The Flavorful Journey
This water bottle allows users to enjoy the sensation of flavored water without the added sugars or calories. It’s a cool journey for your senses, without any extra junk.
The company says it’s committed to sustainability. Crafted from BPA-free materials, it’s a reusable alternative to single-use plastic bottles.
User Reviews and Testimonials
I pulled a review or two derived from Amazon and elsewhere as I wanted to understand what people thought. Most are pleasantly surprised at how well it works.
As far as money, this is more expensive than most of the water bottles I buy, especially for my kids. The bottle, 3 pods, and shipping set me back $61.46. Pricey. They often lose or leave them someplace so I usually hate to spend too much. My son has kept up with this one so far so that’s a win for us!
Conclusion
This bottle’s ability to add flavor to water without adding sugar, coupled with its commitment to sustainability and cutting plastic waste, makes it a good choice and one my son really loves. Bottoms up!
