Charming Valentine Wreaths: elevate your decor and craft love

It’s that lovey-dovey time of year so it’s time to do up your door with a fun Valentine wreath.

I know, I know, we just got past the holidays, and now another thing to think about? It doesn’t have to be complicated, or expensive. I feel like your front door wreath sets the tone for what guests and family can expect when it comes to the rest of the house. It’s like icing on the cake.

So even if you haven’t decorated the rest of the house and don’t plan to, add a little love to your door!

We’ve scoured the internet for the best choices when it comes to Valentine’s wreaths. I’ve also added some DIY ones and I’ll show you how I went from Christmas to Valentine’s Day on a dime without ever even taking down my front door wreath.

Am I clever, or lazy? I think I’m a little of both – I may coin the combo of those two words, I’m “clazy! or lever!”

Why add a Valentine wreath?

First, it takes very little effort to hang a wreath on a front door and it shows you’re trying to be festive. Next, it’s fun.

Love a pretty Valentine wreath. This is great change from the red and pink you normally see. The emphasis is almost on the black here.

Heart Valentine wreath

How pretty is this idea from thediymommy.com? I love that it utilizes pages from a book. I think this would be a fun gift to give someone using the torn-out pages of their favorite book.

Another idea, years ago I asked my hometown church in South Carolina for an old hymnal they weren’t using any longer.

I love classic hymns like “Blessed Assurance” and “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder.”

I used the pages of my favorite hymns for various craft projects including ornaments for our Christmas tree. You could use the pages or an old hymnal for this project as well. It would be great to hang over a piano.

Unique wreaths

I usually like to use ball ornaments for Christmas only but I think this one could be especially pretty – and affordable if you hit up the Dollar Store.

Pearls wreath

This one is so pretty with the ornament balls and use of Mardis Gras beads. As someone who lived in Mobile, Alabama, for nearly 5 years where Mardi Gras in the US actually originated, I LOVE this idea!

You could almost leave it up past Valentine’s Day until Fat Tuesday! From enchantedrosestudio.blogspot.com

Fresh flowers wreath

This one is pretty from 1-800 flowers. It uses preserved fresh hydrangeas which might last longer than utilizing simple fresh ones.

Cupid wreath

Unique wreath taking up a good amount of door space here. It’s adorned with red hearts and a set of great cupid arrows. Perfect touch of whimsical. It almost reminds me of the wings featured in the Tom Hanks movie Cast Away. I’d think about Wilson, the volleyball, every time I walked past them.

Lots of pretty wreaths offered on Etsy.

Pink wreath

This pink heart wreath from the Etsy shop “toleshack” fills the entire space and makes the door feel like home. I like how the bulk of the action is set on one side.

From Christmas to Valentine's day in about 3 minutes with the addition of some cheap hearts.
Red holiday wreaths can easily transition into Valentine’s ones like I did with mine here.

Christmas holiday to Valentine’s Holiday wreath.

This literally cost me about $3 and took me about 3 minutes because I simply added some hearts from Hobby Lobby to my red Christmas wreath. I also bought the wreaths at Hobby Lobby in late November. I’ll admit I did consider this when I bought the wreaths – the fact that they’re all red and could easily be transitioned to Valentine’s Day.

I never even took the things down. It has some battery-powered fairy lights that come on when the sun sets which I love. Again, clever or lazy or both? I’m not sure!

Unique wreaths add a little suprise. Like the colored here espeically against the red. She offers a tutorial on how she put this together on her site.
Valentine wreath for the chocolate lover

Chocolate lover’s wreath

This one from sophiagrace.co.blogspot.com is super cute. She offers a tutorial on her website on how she made the Chocolate Lovers set. I like the addition of the brown and pink colors. I’m a chocoholic though so I might struggle with wanting to eat it – even though it’s fake chocolate.

Conclusion:

Don’t be afraid to play around and have fun with this. A wreath can add so much to the Valentine’s Day decor in the rest of your home.
